Welcome to the Poultry Competition Department!

• Registration Deadline: Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM or until coop spaces are filled.
• Entry Fee: $3 per entry to maintain coop during the show
• Entry Take-In & Pick-Up Schedule:
  • Enter through Gate 4 to access the Poultry Tent.
  • Egg Show Take-In: 
    • Saturday, October 10th-Sunday, October 11th from 8 AM-6 PM - Education Building Atrium (Enter Gate 12)
    • Wednesday, October 14th from 8 AM-5 PM - Poultry Tent
  • First Show - Youth Show and All Open Show Large Fowl and Guineas:
    • Birds will be received: Wednesday, October 14th from 8 AM-5 PM - Poultry Tent
    • Birds will be released: Tuesday, October 20, 2026 after 4 PM - Poultry Tent 
  • Second Show - All Open Show Bantams and Turkeys:
    • Birds will be received: Wednesday, October 21st from 1 PM-5 PM - Poultry Tent
    • Birds will be released: Sunday, October 25th after 6 PM - Poultry Tent
• The N.C. State Fair General Fair Rules & Regulations apply.
• Open to all residents of North Carolina.
• The Open Show and Youth Show are different Departments that use the same Divisions and Classes.
• Exhibitors are allowed two entries per Class.
• The Egg Show is housed under the Open Poultry Show Department.
