The Field Operations Unit of the Pesticide Section, NCDA&CS has the responsibility to carry out, on a statewide basis, the inspection and investigative functions of all mandated pesticide programs. The unit is made up of a total of 22 individuals located in Raleigh as well as various towns across North Carolina.  

The Field Operations Unit of the Pesticide Section, NCDA&CS has the responsibility to carry out, on a statewide basis, the inspection and investigative functions of all mandated pesticide programs. The unit is made up of a total of 22 individuals located in Raleigh as well as various towns across North Carolina.

The Structural Pest Control Section’s Field Operations Team is composed of two Field Managers and eleven Field Inspectors who work throughout North Carolina. Our Inspectors conduct compliance inspections of all licensed Structural Pest Control companies on at least an annual or bi-annual basis. Inspectors also perform consumer request inspections and investigate unlicensed structural pesticide operators’ illegal treatments.

To protect the public health, safety and welfare and to promote continued environmental health quality for the citizens of North Carolina by minimizing health risks associated with the illegal manufacture, registration of and/or the sale of unsanitary bedding and bedding products. By enforcing the laws and regulations to sell, manufacture and sanitize bedding and bedding products in this State.
