The Aleen Steinberg Visitor Center is located at the High Falls Access Area, 89 Buck Forest Road, Cedar Mountain, NC 28718. Opened to the public on July 1, 2013, the visitor center is staffed by dedicated volunteers with knowledge of the area. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, March 15 to Dec. 31 and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 1 to March 14.

- Information on local off-forest attractions.
- Public restrooms are located in a building adjacent to the visitor center and are open year-round.
- Free Wi-Fi internet access.
- Pick-up location for prearranged permits.
