Plant Industry - Lime/Land Plaster/Gypsum Registration and Renewal

  • Every lime and landplaster product must be registered by the company on the label before being offered for sale or distributed in North Carolina.
  • Registrations are to be handled by the NCDA&CS: Seed and Fertilizer Section
  • Questions concerning commercial lime/landplaster/gypsum products or registration, contact: fertilizer.registration@ncagr.gov

Beginning January 1, 2026, NCDA&CS only accepts the new “Lime/Gypsum Product Registration” (LGPR10.25) form

To Register a New Lime or Landplaster Product:  

Applications for lime/landplaster products may be submitted either through our online registration portal or via mail.

First time registrants must submit an application via mail

First time users must create an account with the same email as their contact provided on form LGPR10.25. 

Lime/landplaster fees are listed on the application and as follows: 

  • 10lbs or less = $25
  • More than 10lbs = $5*
  • Combination of 10lbs or less and more than 10lbs = $30* 

*Products subject to tonnage must fill out the tonnage application below:

To Renew Lime/Landplaster Products:

NCDA&CS – Seed and Fertilizer Section will issue an Application to Renew Product Registration via email on or before June 1st of the current year. Payments may be submitted via mail or through our online portal linked below. 

Please note that products expire on June 30th of each year.

The approval process can take up to eight weeks. Incorrect or incomplete packets will be returned.

Please make checks out to NCDA&CS: Seed and Fertilizer Section or NCDA. Checks made out to other sections or departments will be returned. 

No, NCDA&CS cannot accept labels without a complete application packet.

No, Seed and Fertilizer Section is unable to accommodate checks combined with other Section or Division fees.
