Want to take your kid fishing?

The annual Kids Fish for Fun Day at Tuttle Educational State Forest in Lenoir will be held Saturday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to noon. Gates open at 7:30 a.m.

  • The first 100 kids, aged 12 and younger, can enjoy throwing a line into the pond.
  • Kids must be accompanied by an adult, and while the adults may help if needed, the fishing is only for kids.
  • Bring a pole, gear, bait and a chair, and enjoy a great morning of fishing.

Sign-up is required for this event. You can sign up through May 16 at the Tuttle ESF office.

Contact the forest office for additional information or with questions about the event.
