Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler led a ribbon-cutting today at the newest building on the grounds of the N.C. State Fair in Raleigh. He officially named the building the James Robert “Bob” Stanfield Natural Resources Center in honor of the man who managed its construction and multiple buildings in Heritage Circle.

Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler inducted four new members into the N.C.State Fair Livestock Hall of Fame Sunday at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.“This is one of my favorite events each year, because it gives me the opportunity to recognize themen and women who have helped to make our livestock shows some of the best in the nation,”Troxler said. “Today’s inductees join a select group that has been honored for outstandingsupport of agriculture and livestock at the N.C. Fairgoers at the 2021 N.C. State Fair will find some of their favorite exhibits in new locationsthis year with the move of the Got to Be NC Pavilion into Dorton Arena, the NC Public House into the South Side of Dorton Arena and the Folk Festival near the Old Church by the Village of Yesteryear.
 Fairgoers will have the opportunity to give back this year when they purchase their fairtickets online. The N.C. State Fair Cares program offers online ticket buyers the option to add adonation to the Food Band of Central & Eastern North Carolina directly to their ticket purchase at check out. The program will be kicked off by a $15,000 donation from House-Autry Mills.
