RALEIGH – Fairgoers hungry for inspiration will find it sizzling at the Got to Be NC Agriculture Pavilion at this year’s N.C. State Fair. From savory Southern classics to inventive twists on North Carolina-grown products, the Got to Be NC Chef’s Stage brings together the state’s top culinary talent to showcase why the best ingredients start right here at home.
    RALEIGH – The N.C. State Fair will carry on the tradition of offering special themed days in 2025. The days bring special programs and events and/or discounted admission to the fair that runs Oct. 16-26 at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.

RALEIGH – If you have ever dreamed of winning a ribbon at the N.C. State Fair, now is the time to enter before registration closes on Monday, Sept. 15.“Our competitions highlight the talents of the people of North Carolina, “said Kent Yelverton, director, N.C. State Fair. “For most of the competitions, entry drop off is the weekend before the Fair starts on Oct. 16. If you are planning to enter something into one of the hundreds of categories of competitions we have at the Fair, this is the last weekend to do it before entries close at midnight on Monday, Sept. 15.” 
RALEIGH – Every year the N.C. State Fair offers a variety of competitions for North Carolina cooks that promotes both local commodities and other agricultural products. One of the most popular competitions each year are the family-friendly but very competitive cooking challenges.










The 2025 N.C. State Fair will pay special tribute to all active and retired military on Duke Energy Military Appreciation Day on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
