Growfest Seed Swap at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market, Saturday, April 18th

Saturday, April 18th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market will host Growfest in partnership with Tomorrow’s Garden. This hands‑on event brings together a seed swap and interactive seed‑starting demonstrations for gardeners of all experience levels.

Guests can explore free seeds from Tomorrow’s Garden’s seed library and visit multiple seed‑starting stations. Each station will offer soil and a variety of eco‑friendly planting methods, including soil blocks, egg cartons, biodegradable trays, toilet paper rolls, and the always‑popular “soil snail.” Volunteers will be available throughout the day to demonstrate techniques and answer any questions about starting a garden.

If you have seeds to trade, feel free to bring them—opened or gently used packets are welcome.

Attendees are also invited to join a gardening and culinary book swap. You can browse selections from their free library or bring books of your own to share with fellow growers.

Swap, start, and learn with Tomorrow’s Garden—where they believe the food of tomorrow begins with the seeds of today.

Don’t miss this chance to kick off your spring gardening!
