For the first time ever, the Division is partnering directly with the Onslow County GIS Team — to co‑develop a training curriculum tailored entirely to SWCD conservation planning workflows, map products, and technician needs. This collaboration grew from SWCD program leadership and GIS specialists coming together to shape a course that is practical, repeatable, and completely rooted in district work.
Whether you’re brand new to GIS or ready to take your mapping confidence to the next level, this training will walk you step‑by‑step through building a full Conservation Plan Map, including aerials, BMPs, symbology, data layers, layouts, exporting, troubleshooting, and a guided scenario designed by district staff and county GIS partners.
This workshop blends hands‑on learning, expert coaching, and pre‑course foundational materials*, creating one of the most comprehensive beginner‑friendly ArcGIS Pro experiences available to SWCDs.
