Requirements for Hosting a Course for Pesticide Credit

  • In-Person Courses

Please submit each session for pesticide credit at least 1 month in advance to our portal. Courses will not be approved after they have taken place. The following criteria must be met:

  • To earn 1 hour of credit, at least 50 minutes of class time must be pesticide or IPM related. To earn 0.5 hours of credit, at least 25 minutes of class time must be pesticide or IPM related.
  • Attendance must be taken at the end of the course.
  • No partial credit is given for those that arrive late or leave early.

 

  • Live Online Courses 

Please submit each session for pesticide credit at least 1 month in advance to our portal. Courses will not be approved after they have taken place. List the address and city as “Online”. The following criteria must be met:

  • Identity verification at the beginning of the course and after any breaks
  • Video attendance OR active participation by each attendee throughout course to ensure attendee is present (polls, questions, comments, etc. approximately every 10 minutes).
  • To earn 1 hour of credit, at least 50 minutes of class time must be pesticide or IPM related. To earn 0.5 hours of credit, at least 25 minutes of class time must be pesticide or IPM related.
  • Attendance must be taken at the end of the course.
  • No partial credit is given for those that arrive late or leave early.
  • Prior to approval, course access must be granted to NCDA&CS to audit courses.
  • Please detail in your agenda how the above requirements will be met. 

 

  • Self-Paced Online Courses

Self‐paced online course hosts will be evaluated individually before approval. The following criteria must be met: 

  • Identity verification at the beginning of the course and after any breaks.
  • Active participation measures throughout course to ensure attendee is present (approximately every 10 minutes).
  • Quiz questions during or at the end of the course.
  • Ensure that the course cannot be skipped through.
    • To earn 1 hour of credit, at least 50 minutes of class time must be pesticide or IPM related.
    • To earn 0.5 hours of credit, at least 25 minutes of class time must be pesticide or IPM related.
  • Prior to approval, course access must be granted to NCDA&CS to audit courses. 
  • Contact NC Pesticide Credit to have your site reviewed for eligibility. Please include details for how these requirements will be met.
