Get to know SOAR NC (Soil Optimization for Agricultural Resilience), the new statewide biochar program. We’ll cover how the program is set up and how it works from sign up to payment. We’ll also cover what biochar is, how it works with other practices, and how to use it in conservation planning. There will be plenty of time for questions. Both sessions cover the same material, and any district may attend either one.

Supervisor Training Credits (STCs) will be awarded to those in attendance.

Ponds Unpacked is a full‑day, hands‑on training designed to strengthen foundational pond knowledge among Soil and Water Conservation

This Soils Workshop will equip conservation professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively apply soil data in Best Management Practice (BMP) planning. Each workshop blends classroom instruction with field‑based learning, offering practical demonstrations on how soil characteristics—such as drainage, depth, slope, and structure—shape technical decisions made in the field.
