DIRECTIONS: Take US 1south toward Sanford. Travel approximately 40 miles to the US 15/501 split. Take US 15/50 south to Carthage. Staying on US 15/501, travel around Carthage, approximately 6.7 miles to NC 73. Turn right onto NC 73 to West End. Travel approximately 7.3 miles to the traffic light in West End. Take a left at the light and travel approximately 0.2 miles. Take a right, staying on NC 73 and travel approximately 7.7 miles to Windblow and the intersection with SR 1003. Turn right onto SR 1003 and travel approximately 1 mile to the Sandhills Research Station. The station office is on the left.
