State Fair wraps up with second largest attendance

The 2016 N.C. State Fair is in the books, with the second largest attendance on record with 1,028,364 visitors.

In addition, the annual Food Lion Hunger Relief Day food drive saw a strong year, raising over 240,000 pounds of food for those in need. That equals more than 200,000 meals. Forty percent of the amount raised will go to help people in counties affected by Hurricane Matthew.
