
Ag Forum will be held Feb. 6 at Fairgrounds
Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler invites farmers and others interested in economics and ag policy to the ninth annual Ag Development Forum.
The event will take place Thursday, Feb. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Holshouser Building at the State Fairgrounds. Admission is free.
This year’s forum features the Commissioner’s annual “State of Agriculture” address, an agricultural economic outlook, and a panel on interagency cooperation for N.C. agribusiness development.
The forum, held in conjunction with the Southern Farm Show, is sponsored by John Deere.
In addition, Dr. Dan McChesney, director of Office of Surveillance and Compliance, Center For Veterinary Medicine at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, will speak on on the proposed rule Current Good Manufacturing Practice and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Food for Animals. This presentation will take place at 1:30 p.m.
