
Ag Forum set for Feb. 6
The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ annual Ag Development Forum will be held Feb. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Holshouser Building at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.
The event features Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler’s annual State of Agriculture address along with a panel discussion on Interagency Cooperation for N.C. Agribusiness Development including representatives from the N.C. Department of Commerce, the N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the N.C. Department of Transportation and the Office of the Governor.
From 1:30-3:30 p.m. there will be a special Food and Drug Administration listening session on proposed rules for Current Good Manufacturing Practice and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Food for Animals. Dr. Dan McChesney, director of the Office of Surveillance and Compliance Center for Veterinary Medicine, will be the featured speaker.
