On the Horizon

Just a friendly reminder that the deadlines to enter competitions for the N.C. State Fair are fast approaching.

The deadline to enter any of the livestock competitions is Wednesday, Sept. 15.

The deadline to enter the Folk Festival is Monday, Sept. 24 and the entry deadline for horticulture and flower and garden competitions is Friday, Sept. 27.

The deadline for the remaining categories covering handicrafts, foods, art, clothing and home furnishings is Friday, Sept. 20, by 5 p.m.

Advance State Fair admission, ride and concert tickets can also be purchased on the website. Buy early to save.
