Mark your calendars for May 20-22 for the Got to Be NC Festival at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.
The three-day celebra-tion highlights N.C.'s rich agricultural heritage and today's farming industry.
It will showcase local foods, wines, cheeses, fruits and vegetables in the Wine and Food Expo. There will also be activities and attractions for the whole family from tractors, fiber crafts and food to rides, games and music.
Friday-only activities include the Shriners Fish Fry featuring N.C. seafood, and a classic car cruise-in and a draft horse pull.
Saturday-only activities include the N.C. Pig Jig cooking competition between state Masonic organizations, the N.C. Old-Time Fiddle Championship antique tractor pull on Saturday evening, and a regional roller derby competition in Dorton Arena (fee charged).
