On the Horizon

In 2012, the State Fair will host the Century Farm Family Reunion for families that have applied and whose farm has been approved as a Century Farm. The celebration is held during the N.C. State Fair and is a way to honor families who have maintained ownership of their farm for 100 years or more.

Currently, there are around 1,600 Century Farms in the state.

We will be sending out invitations to the October reunion at a later date.

If your farm qualifies as a Century Farm, but has never been registered, you can go online at www.ncagr.gov/paffairs/century/index.htm and print an application form to fill out. If your farm is registered but ownership has been transferred in the past three years to another family member, please contact the Public Affairs Office at 919-707-3002 to ensure we have the current contact information for your farm.
