
Got to Be NC Festival returns May 21-23
Fans of the Got to Be NC Festival will want to mark their calendars for May 21-23. That’s when the third annual festival returns to the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh complete with horse pulls, tractor pulls, agricultural exhibits and displays, antique tractors, antique cars, food, bluegrass music, rides and fun activities for the whole family.
The Fiber Fair area in the Holshouser Building will expand this year to include demon-strations. In addition, a fish fry held by the Shriners organization will be added on May 21.
The Pig Jig, a barbecue cookoff challenge between Masonic lodges from across the state, will return on May 22. Festival goers will be able to purchase barbecue plates and fish plates as part of the civic groups’ fundraising efforts.
