
Food marketing work-shop offered Jan. 12 in Asheville
Food entrepreneurs can learn more about marketing their products or expanding their business through a one-day workshop offered by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
“Food Marketing in the Real World” will take place Jan. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in Room 128 in the Haynes Building on the A-B Tech Enka Campus in Asheville.
The workshop will cover a variety of topics, including creating a competitive advantage, understanding the difference between sales and marketing, knowing when to make the move from part-time to professional, marketing to food service and retail, and understanding the financial considerations of expanding a business. In addition, a panel of successful food entrepreneurs will talk about how they built their businesses.
