
Walk-up sales for State Fair advance tickets start Oct. 2
Fairgoers eager to save money on their trip to the N.C. State Fair will now have nine additional locations to purchase advance tickets in addition to the Fair’s Web site. Online sales are under way through Oct. 16, and walk-up locations will open Oct. 2-16.
Buying advance tickets will save $2 per adult admission ticket and $8 per ride sheet. Advance admission tickets will cost $5 for adults and $1 for children ages 6-12. Adult admission tickets for groups of 40 or more will cost $4.75 each. A coupon that can be redeemed at the Fair for a sheet of 18 ride tickets will cost $10 in advance.
In Raleigh, tickets will be sold at four locations: Gate 9 at the State Fairgrounds, the N.C. Museum of History, Triangle Town Center and the State Farmers Market. In Durham, fairgoers can purchase tickets at Northgate Mall and The Streets at Southpoint. Tickets will also be available at Four Seasons Town Centre in Greensboro, Burlington Square Mall in Burlington and Wilson Mall in Wilson. Tickets will be available during normal mall or museum hours, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the State Fairgrounds, and 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the State Farmers Market. Tickets are also available online at the State Fair’s Web site, www.ncstatefair.org.
All locations will accept cash, Visa and MasterCard.
