The Somers Family have lived in and farmed western Yadkin County and eastern Wilkes County for generations. When Justin & Lindsey Somers married in 2007 the idea was hatched to start a farm of their own. Both were brought up on small family farms, where their parents and grandparents raised large gardens and provided fresh vegetables for the family as well as many neighbors and friends. Justin & Lindsey welcomed their daughter Julia in 2009.
Somers Farm will harvest their first crop of strawberries in late Spring 2015. You are invited to come to the farm and pick your own or we will pick them for you. Somers Farm Strawberries are grown on plastic covered raised beds, this means that the berries are easy to get to while picking and are clean. We also utilize conventional farming techniques.
