A Conservation Irrigation Conversion means to modify an existing overhead spray irrigation system to increase the efficiency and uniformity of irrigation water application.

  • Approval authority includes: NC licensed irrgation contractor, a technical specialist with irrigation designation, a person with design certification by the National Irrigation Association, USDA NRCS Technical Service Provider with Conservation Activity Plans 118 Authorization or a Professional Engineer.

  • Actual cost - paid based on receipts
  • Maxmimum cost share amount $25,000 (75%) OR $30,000 (90%)
  • Only one system per cooperator/farming operation
