Filter Strip

 

A Filter Strip means an area of permanent perennial vegetation for removing sediment, organic matter, and other pollutants from runoff and waste water to improve water quality.  Benefits may include reduced soil erosion, sedimentation and pathogen contamination and pollution from dissolved, particulate, and sediment-attached substances.
