The brush shows the color you will use. - Change brush color with a single click on the small color pads.

The mixing pad lets you make new colors. - Set initial mixing pad color with a double click on the small color pads. Then single click on the brush to mix colors. (Make sure the brush is a different color to the mixing pad, otherwise nothing will happen). When you have created the color you want, single click on the mixing pad to change the color on the brush head.
