Kent Yelverton, P.E.

Engineering is a vital component in the operation of our 18 research stations. Staff and researchers depend on the design and construction of safe and efficient equipment sheds, maintenance shops, livestock housing, office buildings, and even irrigation ponds.

Property and Construction Director Kent Yelverton works with state staff and the private sector to design and manage all Division capital and repair/renovations projects, insure adherance to all state building codes and State Construction Office guidelines, and monitor contractors' work and payments. He also prepares cost estimates and forms for funding requests, receives bids, and supervises construction.
