Plant Industry - Plant Protection Section
Program Support Services
Support Services was created in 1977 to accommodate changing needs, and to keep the Plant Industry Division current with advancing agricultural technology. The primary goal of Support Services is to provide and maintain vehicles, equipment, supplies, and personnel to implement projects and programs directed by the Plant Industry Division.
Facility maintenance is the secondary responsibility of Support Services. These responsibilities include maintenance of Division facilities, supervision of construction projects and renovations, and specialized modifications for program usage.
Plant Industry personnel work hard to maintain our place on the agricultural forefront by calling from a vast array of field knowledge and having the courage to use new and innovative techniques. In order to employ these techniques, Support Services must implement and often invent procedures that are adequate and cost effective.
