Market Swine Show and Junior Market Goat Show
winners announced at Mountain State Fair
FLETCHER -- Winners from the Junior and Senior Market Swine and Junior Market Goat shows were recently announced at the N.C. Mountain State Fair. Following are winners:
Senior Market Swine
- Grand champion shown by Tina Jones of Buncombe County;
- Reserve champion shown by Joe Worley of Haywood County;
Junior Market Swine
- Grand champion shown by Lily Kate Plummer of Haywood County;
- Reserve champion shown by Bill Jones of Buncombe County;
- Supreme champion shown by Lily Kate Plummer of Haywood County;
- Reserve supreme champion shown by Bill Jones of Buncombe County;
Junior Market Goat
- Grand champion shown by Alexis Briley of Pitt County;
- Reserve champion shown by Kaelyn Mohrfeld of Lenior County;
Junior Commercial Doe
- Grand champion shown by Davis Moye of Greene County;
- Reserve champion shown by Cole Annas of Catawba County;
- Grand champion shown by Kaelyn Mohrfeld of Lenior County;

The Junior Meat Goat Show was open to North Carolina residents under the age of 21. No animal was allowed to compete in more than one class. Classes were divided by age and weight of animals.
The Senior Swine Show was open to exhibitors 19 and older, while the Junior Swine Show was open to any exhibitor under the age of 19. Each exhibitor was allowed to show two animals, but the animal could compete in both shows.
