More Mountain State Fair livestock winners announced

            FLETCHER – Winners from the Open Junior Beef Cattle Show were recently announced at the N.C. Mountain State Fair. Following are winners:

  • Supreme champion heifer shown by Chris Mackey of Madison County;
  • Reserve supreme champion heifer shown by Ty Reeves of Buncombe County;
Junior Market Heifer - Angus
  • Grand champion shown by Ty Reeves of Buncombe County;
  • Reserve champion shown by LeAnn Haeward of Stanly;
Junior Market Heifer - Charolais
  • Grand champion shown by Daniel Brown of Watauga County;
  • Reserve champion shown by Chelsea Bobbitt of Alleghany County;
Junior Market Heifer - Gelbvieh
  • Grand champion shown by Bethany Mackey of Madison;
  • Reserve champion shown by Grant Worley of Buncombe County;

The Open Junior Beef cattle shows were open to any youth under the age of 21.
