The group will spend time reviewing and refocusing its mission through a review of the group and subcommittee reports. Members will also get a legislative update and update on other projects that they have sponsored, the Carolina Meat Conference and the N.C. 10 percent Campaign. Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler serves as chairman of the 27-member group, which includes farmers, educators, food industry executives, community activists and local-food advocates.
