State Farmers Market offers fuel-free test drives March 4-6

With gas prices on the rise, the State Farmers Market will rev up its calendar of events with the quiet sounds of electric engines during the Nissan LEAF Drive Electric Tour. The State Farmers Market is one of two N.C. locations chosen to host the tour, where visitors will be able to test drive the completely electric car. There also will be interactive displays explaining the vehicle’s technology and special features.
Pre-registration is required to guarantee a drive time and can be made at www.drivenissanleaf.com. Remaining test drives will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis during the event.

The Drive Electric Tour is the first of 10 special events planned at the State Farmers Market from March to June. Other events include Strawberry Day, Spring Herb Days and an Arbor Day Celebration.
In addition to special events, market visitors can find locally grown produce, meats and cheeses in the Farmers Building, can shop for unique N.C. products at the Market Shoppes and can eat at the State Farmers Market Restaurant or N.C. Seafood Restaurant. |
