Mountain State Fair safety press conference is Sept. 9

WHAT:	Press briefing and Q&A session, followed by photo ops and a chance to review safety procedures.
WHEN/WHERE:	11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 9 Upper chairlift landing pad, WNC Ag Center 1301 Fanning Bridge Road Fletcher, NC 28732 (Enter through Fanning Bridge Road gate, park near Entrance E and walk between barns to conference site at top of the hill.)
WHO:	N.C. Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler N.C. Labor Commissioner Cherie Berry N.C. Mountain State Fair Manager Matt Buchanan Representatives of law enforcement, fire and rescue Jim Drew, Drew Expositions Specialists from the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and N.C. Department of Labor
WHY:	To explain the safety procedures in place governing amusement rides, animal exhibits and displays, traffic control, grounds safety and more. Each ride must be fully inspected and 100 percent operational prior to accepting passengers.
