Save big with advance tickets for Mountain State Fair
FLETCHER — Save up to 50 percent on tickets to the upcoming N.C. Mountain State Fair when you purchase gate, ride and concert tickets in advance. The 17th annual fair opens Sept. 10 at the WNC Ag Center in Fletcher, and all discounted advance tickets must be purchased prior to opening day.
“We have a great partner in Ingles Supermarkets, and their stores in western North Carolina sell gate and ride tickets at each register, making it so easy to buy tickets while grocery shopping,” said Matt Buchanan, manager of the Mountain State Fair. “Ride tickets are half price in advance, and this can mean huge savings if you have riders in the family.”
Admission tickets are also discounted in advance, with a savings of $1 each on children, adult and senior tickets. Advance adult tickets are $6; child and senior tickets are $2. Children 5 and under are admitted free. Special pricing is available for groups of 30 or more.
In addition to Ingles locations, advance tickets are available at the WNC Ag Center across from the Asheville Airport and the WNC Farmers Market office on Brevard Road. If you prefer to shop from home, visit the N.C. Mountain State Fair website at www.mountainfair.org to reach the secure ticket site and order with no shipping, handling or service charges. Tickets will be sent by first-class mail.
Concert tickets are also available in advance for country singer Chuck Wicks on Sept. 15 and gospel bands This Hope and The Oxendines on Sept. 16. Tickets for each show are $15 and include gate and concert admission.
A complete fair schedule is available online at www.mountainfair.org. Questions may be directed to (828) 687-1414, ext. 200, or to the e-mail contact on the website.
