Advisory committee for farmland preservation trust fund
will meet March 30 in Raleigh
RALEIGH — The Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund Advisory Committee will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at the Eaddy Agronomic Building, 4300 Reedy Creek Road. The meeting is open to the public.
The committee will receive an update on previously funded projects and hear staff’s funding recommendations for the 2010 grant cycle.
The ADFP Trust Fund Advisory Committee advises Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler on the prioritization and allocation of money from the trust fund, program planning, and other areas for the growth and development of family farms in North Carolina. Members include farmers and representatives of agricultural organizations, state agencies and universities. More information is available at www.ncadfp.org.
