Second annual Got to Be NC Ag Jam pairs local farmers and food companies with national country acts Saturday, Sept. 12

RALEIGH — Country artist Gretchen Wilson will headline the Got to Be NC Ag Jam’s second annual celebration of North Carolina agriculture Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek.

Joining Wilson onstage are Josh Thompson, Sarah Buxton and Jason Jones, along with local acts Joey Panzarella Band, John Woodall, Brian Davis and Johnny Orr. Tickets for the food and music festival, presented by Food Lion, will be $10 for lawn seating, $15 for reserved seating and $20 for Gold Circle seating.  Ticket sales start Friday, Aug. 14, and will be available online at www.NCAgJam.com, at the venue’s box office and select Blockbuster stores, and by phone at (877) 598-8698.

The all-day, family-friendly event, sponsored entirely by N.C. companies and organizations, will feature samples of delicious local North Carolina fruits, vegetables, beverages, sauces, meats and other products from local growers and producers.

“Last year’s Got to Be NC Ag Jam was an excellent showcase for the farmers and food companies that make agriculture North Carolina’s number one industry,” said Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler.  “Combine that with some great country songs and you have a fun event for the whole family.”

Gates open at noon, and the music lasts from 1 to 11 p.m. Nine acts will perform throughout the day:

  • Benson’s Joey Panzarella Band, 1:05 to 1:35 p.m.
  • TBA
  • Garner’s John Woodall, 2:55 to 3:25 p.m.
  • Raleigh’s Brian Davis, 3:50 to 4:20 p.m.
  • Johnny Orr and the South Station Band featuring Grace Isley, 4:45 to 5:30 p.m.
  • Jason Jones, 5:55 to 6:40 p.m.
  • Sarah Buxton, 7:05 to 7:55 p.m.
  • Josh Thompson, 8:15 to 9 p.m.
  • Gretchen Wilson, 9:30 to 11 p.m.
