Popular radio show “Weekend Gardener” will broadcast live Saturday, April 25, at the State Farmers Market. Hosts Mike Raley and Anne Clapp from Triangle news station WPTF 680 AM will discuss gardening tips and tricks, and give away recipes, prizes and homemade baby biscuits from the Farmers Market.
The Farmers Market is a fitting host for the gardening show, as it now has the largest selection of plants and trees in the Triangle, with vendors selling flowers, hanging baskets, vegetable plants, shrubbery and more. Fresh greenhouse tomatoes, strawberries, collards and sweet potatoes are also now available at the market, along with pecans, firewood, salsas and honey. Visitors can also visit the State Farmers Market Restaurant, N.C. Seafood Restaurant, Nahunta Pork Center, Super Sod lawn supply center and Market Imports building.
