Goodness, gracious, Grape Day set for Sept. 11
at State Farmers Market
WHAT: The State Farmers Market will host Grape Day, featuring free wine tastings from many of North Carolina’s 80 wineries, samples of locally grown muscadine grapes and recipes for visitors. Fresh grapes, grape products and bottles of wine will be available for purchase.
The N.C. Wine & Grape Council estimates the wine and grape industry has an economic impact of $813 million. North Carolina ranks 10th in the nation for wine and grape production, with more than 400 commercial growers in the state.
WHEN: Friday, Sept. 11, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
