Peaches, ice cream and desserts part of annual

| WHAT: | The State Farmers Market will host its annual Peach Day where visitors can compete in a peach dessert contest, meet the N.C. Peach Queen, take home peach recipes and enjoy free samples of fresh N.C. peaches and peach ice cream. Judging for the peach dessert contest begins at 10 a.m. Although spectators will not be allowed, the media are welcome to join contest judges in the State Farmers Market conference room. |

| MORE INFO: | The Farmers Market has a large variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, including peaches, tomatoes, watermelon, corn, cantaloupe, squash, cucumbers, peas, as well as plants, herbs and cut flowers. In the Market Shoppes, visitors can shop for an array of peach products, as well as custom picture framing, meats and cheeses, fruit and gift baskets and Goodness Grows in North Carolina products. |
