Advisory committee for farmland preservation trust fund
will meet March 30 in Raleigh

RALEIGH – The Advisory Committee for the Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, March 30, at the Eaddy Agronomic Building, 4300 Reedy Creek Road. The meeting is open to the public.

The committee will hear updates on grants awarded by the trust fund in 2008 and the status of applications for the 2009 grant cycle.

The ADFP Trust Fund Advisory Committee advises Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler on the prioritization and allocation of money from the trust fund, program planning, and other areas for the growth and development of family farms in North Carolina. Members include farmers and representatives of agricultural organizations, state agencies and universities. More information is available at www.ncadfp.org.
