Advisory committee for farmland preservation trust fund
will meet by conference call Feb. 3
RALEIGH – The Advisory Committee for the Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund will meet by conference call at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3.
The committee will hear updates on grants awarded by the trust fund in 2008 and the status of applications for the 2009 grants cycle.
Members of the public can listen to the call by coming to the Hall of Fame Room at the Agriculture Building, 2 W. Edenton St.
The ADFP Trust Fund Advisory Committee advises Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler on the prioritization and allocation of money from the trust fund, program planning, and other areas for the growth and development of family farms in North Carolina. Members include farmers and representatives of agricultural organizations, state agencies and universities. More information is available at www.ncadfp.org.
