State Farmers Market to host Sweet Potato Day
|
| WHAT: | North Carolina sweet potatoes will be the center of attention at the annual Sweet Potato Day at the State Farmers Market. The celebration will feature sweet potato dessert samples, recipes and nutrition information on the vegetable. North Carolina ranks first in the nation in production of sweet potatoes, with approximately 47,000 acres of the plant grown in the state. |
