State Farmers Market to host wine tastings,
dessert sampling at Grape Day Sept. 12

WHAT:	The State Farmers Market will host its annual Grape Day to celebrate the native fruit and the beginning of muscadine season. Samples of grapes and grape desserts prepared by the State Farmers Market Restaurant will be available to visitors, along with free recipes. Representatives from three N.C. wineries will also be at the Farmers Market to host wine tastings and feature a variety of wines and muscadine grape products available for purchase.
WHEN:	Friday, Sept. 12 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHERE:	Farmers Building and Market Shoppes State Farmers Market 1201 Agriculture St. Interstate 40, exit 297, Lake Wheeler Road
WHO:	Grape Day is sponsored by the N.C. Wine and Grape Council, N.C. Muscadine Association, State Farmers Market Restaurant and the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
