Advisory committee for farmland preservation trust fund
will meet by conference call Oct. 1
RALEIGH – The Advisory Committee for the Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund will meet by conference call at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1.
The committee will tie up loose ends from its September meeting in preparation for the trust fund’s 2008-09 grant cycle.
Members of the public can listen to the call by coming to the Hall of Fame Room at the Agriculture Building, 2 W. Edenton St.
The ADFP Trust Fund Advisory Committee advises Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler on the prioritization and allocation of money from the trust fund, program planning, and other areas for the growth and development of family farms in North Carolina. Members include farmers and representatives of agricultural organizations, state agencies and universities. More information is available at www.ncadfp.org.
