Piedmont Triad Farmers Market to host Tomato Day July 3
| WHAT: |
The Piedmont Triad Farmers Market will kick off North Carolina’s tomato season with Tomato Day at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3. Visitors can enjoy free tomato sandwiches made with fresh local tomatoes, as well as pick up stickers and recipes. Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler and staff from the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will be on hand to kick off the celebration and answer any questions about this year’s safe, healthy crop. |
