Free July 4th celebration at the N.C. State Fairgrounds
| WHO/WHAT: |
The N.C. State Fairgrounds and the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department will host a free July 4th celebration this Friday. Activities will take place in Dorton Arena, the Jim Graham Building and on the main Midway near the Sam Rand Grandstand. Activities include games, inflatable rides, roving entertainment and a live performance by country singer Holland Marie, winner of the 2006 Fox 50 "Gimme The Mike" competition. |

Public parking is available near Gate 9 off Trinity Road and Gate 4 off Youth Center Road. Handicap parking is available near Gate 2 off Hillsborough Road.
Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to the concert. Seating will not be provided.
No coolers or pets are allowed during the July 4th event. |
