Opening ceremony for the Got to Be NC Festival is Thursday, June 5, 2008

WHO/WHAT:	Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler will officially open the first-ever Got to Be NC Festival in a “big” and loud way. Troxler will drive the 13-foot tall, motorized Got to Be NC Big Cart to cut the ribbon and signal the official start of the festival.
WHEN:	Thursday, June 5 5:30 p.m.
WHERE:	N.C. State Fairgrounds Entrance to the main Midway, by the Grandstand and near the Kerr Scott Building
OTHER INFO:	The ribbon-cutting event will kick off the four-day Got to Be NC Festival, celebrating North Carolina’s agricultural heritage and locally produced foods. The festival will take place June 5-8. For more information, go to www.ncagfest.com.
