State Farmers Market holds Greenhouse Vegetable Day April 3

WHAT:	Visitors can sample greenhouse tomato sandwiches and hydroponic lettuce at the annual Greenhouse Vegetable Day at the State Farmers Market in Raleigh. Shoppers will also find greenhouse strawberries available for purchase.
WHEN:	Thursday, April 3 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHERE:	State Farmers Market 1201 Agriculture St. Exit 297 (Lake Wheeler Road) off Interstate 40
WHY:	This event offers visitors an opportunity to become more familiar with the types of greenhouse vegetables grown in the state and to sample some of the delicious commodities available now.
WHO:	Greenhouse Vegetable Day is sponsored by the N.C. Greenhouse Vegetable Growers Association, the State Farmers Market and the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Other information:	Recipes and information about greenhouse vegetable production will also be available for visitors.
