State Farmers Market to host Strawberry Day May 3
| WHAT: |
The State Farmers Market will host its annual Strawberry Day where visitors can enjoy free samples of strawberries and strawberry dessert and children can meet Suzy Strawberry.
The market is also hosting a strawberry dessert contest and will offer $275 in total prize money for the best entries. The farmers market now has a large variety of plants, including hanging baskets, perennials, container gardens, bedding plants, herbs and cut flowers, as well as seasonal fruit and vegetables.
In the Market Shoppes, visitors can shop for an array of strawberry products and enter to win prizes. The Market Shoppes also feature cheese, meats, custom picture framing, fruit and gift baskets and Goodness Grows in North Carolina products. |
