Advance State Fair ride, concert and admission tickets on sale now

Tickets for the 2008 N.C. State Fair are on sale now at www.ncstatefair.org, including admission, ride, grandstand and Dorton Arena entertainment tickets.

“We are extending our ticket sales this year to give people more time to make purchases,” said Wesley Wyatt, State Fair manager. “While we feel the State Fair provides one of the best entertainment values in the state, we understand that wallets are stretched a little more than usual now. By offering early ticket sales, families can make plans and purchases throughout the next three months if necessary.”

Tickets for all Dorton Arena shows can only be purchased in advance online, so concertgoers should shop early for the best seats.

The concert lineup is:

  • Thursday, Oct. 16: Josh Turner - $22
  • Friday, Oct. 17: Jason Aldean - $15
  • Saturday, Oct. 18: Toby Mac - $10
  • Sunday, Oct. 19: Lady Antebellum and Heidi Newfield - $8
  • Monday, Oct. 20: Bobby Flay - $22

Adult admission tickets for groups of 40 or more will cost $4.75. A coupon that can be redeemed at the Fair for a sheet of 18 ride tickets will cost $10 in advance.

Visa and MasterCard payments are accepted online for all tickets. Online sales are print-at-home tickets. Each ticket purchased online will be assessed a convenience fee, which ranges from 5 to 15 percent.

Beginning Oct. 2 until Oct. 16, admission and ride tickets will be available for walk-up purchase at the N.C. State Fairgrounds, the Agriculture Building in downtown Raleigh, the State Farmers

Market, Triangle Town Center in Raleigh, Burlington Square Mall in Burlington, Wilson Mall in Wilson, Northgate Mall in Durham, The Streets at Southpoint in Durham and Four Seasons Town Centre in Greensboro. All locations will accept cash, debit and credit cards except Wilson Mall, which will accept cash only. The convenience fee does not apply at walk-up locations.
