The farm has been owned continuously by the Pope family since 1852. The fourth, 5th and 6th generation of Popes now operate the farm. Up until early this century, tobacco was the main money crop.
Our unique lamb is produced from four breeds of hair sheep (they require no shearing). We feed them only their natural diet, grass which results in meat with very low fat content. The meat is high in Omega 3, Vitamin E and CLA making our meat more healthy.
Visit us on the farm and view our sustainable farming practices. We use no hormones, antibiotics, commercial fertlizer or genetically altered materials. For your next event, consider having it in the mid 1800's farm house. Seating up to 36 inside or larger events under the tent.

From the intersection of NC 86 & US 70 in Hillsgorough, proceed 6.4 miles north on NC 86. Turn left onto Carr Store Rd. and go 2.0 miles to a caution light. Turn righr onto Efland-Cedar Grove Rd. and go 2.1 miles. The farm is on the right.
